PeopleVision FX's exhibit at IAAPA this year will feature the company's new PhotonOpticon© technology.
PhotonOpticon is a hologram-type effect where video images of varying degrees of translucency are projected onto a transparent screen. However, unlike true hologram, the PhotonOpticon can both move and incorporate synchronized audio.
The company has already produced a PhotonOpticon presentation for the Great Room Gallery of the Las Vegas outlet of the RC Willey chain of furniture stores.
When a visitor approaches the display, a life-sized woman appears on a transparent screen and provides a short presentation on one of three topics.
One discusses electronics, another talks about furniture and the third explains the Great Room concept itself.
Once the presentation is finished, the figure disappears and the screen returns to transparency.
